Congressional Award
The Congressional Award is the U.S. Congress' award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all 14- to 23-year-olds. Participants earn Bronze, Silver and Gold Congressional Award Certificates and Bronze, Silver and Gold Congressional Award Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas; Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. Earning the Award is a fun and interesting way to get more involved in something you already enjoy or something you'd like to try for the first time. You move at your own pace - on your own or with your friends.

Arnold Hall Community Center
The audition for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of “The Princess and The Pea” will be held at 10:00 am on Mon, 27 Jul 2009 at Arnold Hall Community Center.
There are roles for students entering 1st grade through 12th grade. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-30 minutes after the audition.
This is a group audition - no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!
Rehearsals will be conducted every day from –10:00 a.m. to 12 noon and -1230 p.m. 1430 p.m.at Bob Hope Performing Arts Center.
The performance will be held on Fri, 31 Jul 09 at 3:00 p.m. at Bob Hope Performing Arts Center. Everyone is invited and it is FREE!

PAW CAMP-- "Pet Dog Training"

Arnold Hall Community Center is taking signups for pet dog obedience classes by Rodney Sparkowich.
Puppy Class will be from 6pm to 6:55pm. The first class will be without your dog, just you the owner. Bring the leash and collar you will be using, as well as a baggie of cheerios. The class will include talking about house training , chewing , digging, jumping, fear based aggression and other issues.
Beginner Class will be from 7pm to 7:55pm. Again, the first class will be without, without, without your four legged friend. The class will inlude accessing each of the dogs present level of appropriate/inappropriate behavior, based upon owner’s responses, and begin to focus on what learning is from the dogs point of view.
Advanced Classes will be offered when sufficient interested pet owners are available!

New York Style Salsa Lessons
Wondering how you can dance like the stars on TV? Sign up for these lessons, and you'll be getting all "10s" when you hit the dance floor. Classes meet every Thursday 5-6pm. Cost is $10 per lesson.
