What does the Honor Guard do?
The Honor Guard's primary mission is to pay respect to our fallen comrades who served the United States.
Our secondary mission is to support ceremonial and protocol functions. They include:
· Memorial Services
·
Cordons for VIPs and weddings
·
Color Guard for:
·
Change of commands
     Dining-Ins and Dining-Outs
     Retirements
     Community-related events

What are the requirements to join the Honor Guard?

To be a Team Lackland Honor Guard member you must have:
· High motivation
· A desire to excel
· Your Supervisor's and Commander/First   Sergeant's approval
· Availability for a one year commitment
· The drive to consistently exceed the   standards set in AFI 36-2903
· The ability to complete a one week training   course

What are the benefits as an Honor Guard Member?

· A 25 detail hours plaque
· A 50 detail hours pen set
· A 75 detail hours clock

· Additional detail hours for recruiting another
